Event Details

The Safe Sitter Essentials Class is designed to prepare students in grades 6-8 to be safe when they’re home alone, watching younger siblings, or babysitting.  The instructor-led class is filled with fun games, hands-on demonstrations, and role-playing exercises. Students even get to use manikins to practice rescue skills like choking rescue & CPR! 

Please arrive 15 minutes before class starts at 9:30am. The class will conclude at 4:30pm and includes a 30 minute lunch break. The library will provide lunch, but please note that students with special dietary needs should provide their own lunch. Every student should bring a water bottle.

Class size is limited and pre-registration is required. Cost to participate is $25 per student. You will receive instructions on how to pay upon registering your child.
